We believe protecting your domain shouldn't require a PhD in DNS. So we built the email security platform we always wished existed — clear, fast, and a little bit fun.

Our Mission

The problem was clear.
The solutions weren't.

In 2024, we were running a small SaaS company and got hit by a phishing campaign that impersonated our domain. Customer trust took a hit. So did our sleep.

We tried every email security tool out there. The "enterprise" platforms were $1,500/month and required a week of training. The "free" tools spat out raw XML and called it a dashboard. There was nothing in between.

So we built MailShield — the platform we wished existed: enterprise-grade protection, consumer-grade simplicity, and pricing that doesn't require a sales call.

How MailShield evolved from an internal DNS monitoring script to a full SaaS platform.

2024 · Q1
The phishing wake-up call
A targeted phishing attack against our own SaaS company kicks off the journey. We start writing internal scripts to monitor our DNS records and ingest DMARC reports.
2024 · Q3
The first prototype
After months of nights and weekends, we ship the first internal version of MailShield. It's ugly, but it answers the question "is anyone spoofing us right now?" in under a second.
2025 · Q1
Launch to the world
After a complete redesign and 6 months of beta testing with friends, MailShield launches publicly. The first paying customer signs up the same day.
2025 · Q4
500 domains protected
We hit 500 active domains under monitoring. The team grows to 4 full-time. We launch multi-tenant features for MSPs and agencies.
2026 · Today
Building the future
Adding AI-powered threat detection, BIMI automation, and an entirely new public scanner. The mission is unchanged: make email security beautifully simple.
